Vascular Surgery

At our private musculoskeletal clinic, we place great importance on close collaboration with our vascular surgeon colleague. This is because certain vascular conditions significantly increase the risks associated with musculoskeletal surgery. In cases of vascular disorders, it is therefore recommended to undergo a vascular surgical evaluation before major orthopedic surgery, and, if necessary, to treat the condition and perform surgery (e.g., varicose vein surgery). If an undesirable complication affecting the blood vessels develops after surgery, the vascular surgeon’s opinion is also important. Of course, vascular surgeons treat a significantly wider range of more severe conditions; the following overview aims to present these.

Diseases related to the circulatory system, specifically the blood vessels—including narrowing, blockage, and, in some cases, dilation (aneurysm) of the aorta and its branches (e.g., the carotid artery), and clotting in the venous system (thrombosis)—affect more than half of the adult population in Hungary to a greater or lesser extent.

Vascular Surgeon

At our private vascular surgery clinic, we treat all types of arterial and venous diseases on an outpatient basis. This includes thorough patient examinations, diagnosis, Doppler testing, lifestyle counseling, medication and injection therapy, and—in more severe cases—preoperative evaluation and the organization and execution of surgery. Arterial diseases can deteriorate rapidly; therefore, if you have symptoms suggestive of such conditions, we see our patients with minimal wait times and assist with further treatment.
